Not Taking Sides

I'm not a Republican. Not a Democrat. I like movies. I like truthful documentaries. I think there are tons of good reasons to dislike Bush. I think there are less reasons to like him, but all things being equal, he has to have some good points. I haven't seen F-911 yet. Don't know that I will after reading Spinsanity's critique. It irritates me that Moore does this kind of crap. He only weakens the case of those that have good info on Bush's money, oil, and political connections. This isn't a recruiting film for Al Qaida, as the right claims. It's a recruiting film for moron propagandists.

What I know is that Spinsanity is run by a couple guys that are longtime Democrats. They are strangely fair and unbiased in a world of partisan politics. They critiqued Bowling for Columbine as well and after three viewings of that movie I was forced to conclude that their critique was accurate. That leads me to believe that this one is as well. I watched Letterman that night and saw Moore's smug demagoguery. He's a nerd in the spotlight and he's losing his soul. The guy is full of shit. Michael Moore has become a parody of himself. He could do good work, but he chooses to use lies and innuendo rather than the truth. In the situation in Iraq the truth might be sufficient but Moore won't give it a chance. I will probably see the film; I hate writing something off without seeing it, but based on Spinsanity's review, it will be with a seriously jaundiced eye.

Maybe I should go try porn before I tell people it is bad. Michael moore is a self promoting moron. He will do a film on anything that will get him on TV.

Next thing you know we will have Bush Gone Wild "doing it elephant style". It will be shots of Bush taking his shirt off in different places around the world. Should be a great show.
