The Open and Affirming SBC
It appears there was greater openness at the Southern Baptist Convention's annual meeting a couple years ago than they've shown recently. Thanks to J-Fo for sending this along. Did anyone make it to the "gay partners in Baptist ministry" breakout session that year?
Nah - I went to the spring break beach ministry/laying on of hands workshop.

My first thought upon receipt of this yesterday was 'Wow,' which I dutifully emailed to you and Fo. The second thought, which really didn't need to be spoken, was 'What's the ETA on this showing up on the Parish?' :)

Friend Todd tells me the two guys are young Baptist pastors who were spoofing the convention. Alas...I still like it.
